Noirgazer is a series of music events and a music webzine with the motivation to create a shared space between musicians, listeners and record companies. Founded by Mert Uzbay in the last quarter of 2021, Noirgazer deals with all music genres that contain dark tones, and creates events and contents accordingly. Noirgazer focuses mainly on the genres of Drone, Noise, Ambient, Post-Rock, Industrial Techno and Neo-Classical . In this context, it aims to make artists more visible by conducting interviews and organizing events with local and international musicians who produce works in the aforementioned musical genres.
Noirgazer’s main goal is to build a bridge between musicians, listeners and record labels. It establishes the connection between musicians and record companies without any profit. However, Noirgazer makes no commitment to the publication of works shared with record labels. In addition to this, it organizes certain events to increase the interest in Drone, Noise and Ambient genres in Türkiye’s conditions and aims to create a “stage” in this field. The main motivation in the events organized by Noirgazer is to give the artist the opportunity to convey his production to the audience in a relaxed and comfortable way.
